Just before we moved last year we were lucky enough to be sent some fabulous old patterns from a woman in Katikati. This week I made a baby's carrying coat adapted from one of her patterns - I'll have to send her some photos. I also made the tradional bonnet from the pattern. The pattern was of an unlined coat but I have lined it - the lining hem is finished with a lace edge. The photos need a bit of imagination as the coat hanger is too long so the shape across the shoulders is not quite right. Unfortunately the bonnet photos are not much better - I really need a baby model!
